Thank you all for attending this weekend's lecture! We had 110 people from all over the state attend including a very strong showing from the Southern NM Beekeepers Group (some of whom drove 5 hours to get to Albuquerque!), the SDC Beekeepers Group from Northern NM and the Abq Beeks from Albuquerque. It was fantastic to see all the new faces and meet you. Thank you to Michael Bush and Tess Grasswitz for making the weekend inspirational.
A great big thank you to the Board of the NMBKA, John Gagne and Maria for bringing in our speaker, Carl Soderberg for introducing us to the First Presbyterian Church, the support from Zia Queen Bee, Chantal Forster for advertising, Kate Whealen for planning, Taylor Horst for insurance and all of the companies that donated door prizes including Bookworks, Dadant, Brushy Mntn, Mann Lake, Glory Bee. Thank you to Make My Lunch for delicious food items made with locally harvested honey from Ken Hays. Without our volunteers, this event would be impossible to make happen, Mike Fickling, Dave Ellis, Allan Emord, Mike Krochoski and Lynn Springer.
