I will be teaching an Honors course this spring at the University of New Mexico called "Zen & the Art of Beekeeping," which is essentially a cultural study of beekeepers and their practices.

I have 17 sophomore-level college students who will be required to meet one-on-one with a local beekeeper at least three (3) times during the semester (Jan-May). These meetings will involve:

• interviews
• observations, and
• (if the student chooses) participation in beekeeping practices. (This will be a mutual agreement between the student and their beekeeping partner.)

We are looking for all types. You can have one hive or one hundred hives. You can be a new or veteran beekeeper. What the students are most interested in is your passion for keeping bees.
