March 9, 2014 at 2pm to June 6, 2014 at 11pm

NMBKA Dr. James Nieh!

Today at the NM Beekeepers Association meeting, Dr. James Nieh from UCSD, knocked it outta the park with his discussion on honey bee communication and a fascinating over view of neonicotinoids. He explained the evolution of communication and Superorganism inhibitory communication.  Here's how it is conveyed on his website and to us at the meeting:What happens if conditions change and the communicated food source becomes depleted, contested, or dangerous? June 15, 2013 from 9am to 12pm
Since 1852 Langstroth style hives have been known for their efficiency and ease of operation contrary to what you may have read here.  This time tested design, allows smooth frame manipulation with no cross combing, positive management of honey bees with simple extraction of honey.  Honey comb IS the honey bee's most valuable asset! Langstroth style hives are in fact IDEAL for beginning beekeepers. Next classes are June 15th and 16th in the quaint North Valley.  NewBeeRescue.comRSVP 344.2697See More
