Here is another petition from Credo, I don’t see a conflict in signing two petitions, we sure could use the pressure.
My bees thank you!

Comment by Paul McCarty on October 15, 2012 at 7:56pm How many did they get Rob? Bears have been a huge problem for me in certain areas.
Comment by James H DAWDY on October 9, 2012 at 5:01pm Just inspected my hives and the drones are still there. My split that committed regicide had 4-5 opened queen cells, but as hard as I looked, I couldn't find the queen. However, she would have been just hatched, probably within the last 24 hours.
Harvested a hand-size chunk of comb of very pale, clear honey. My wife who is Russian says they call that kind of honey "May honey" in Russia. She loved it.
Comment by Paul McCarty on October 9, 2012 at 7:24am Yes, interesting book.
Comment by Diana Calkins on October 9, 2012 at 6:23am You'll love the book. Happy Birthday, Rob!
Comment by Diana Calkins on October 8, 2012 at 8:41pm Now I wish I'd gone out to check our hive after I got home from work to see if the same is happening here. How cold did it get at your place, Rob. We were 36 on Sunday morning and 40 this morning?
Comment by Paul McCarty on October 8, 2012 at 8:38pm Mine have been kicking them out off and on since late July. I noticed today two of my hives still have drones flying in and out. The others have all started tossing out drone brood. My feral bees evict their drones at the drop of a hat.
Well I think that cold snap did it for my girls, one of my hives is evicting drones with a passion. About 300 boys out shivering in the cold this evening, they look so forlorn, all huddled together and pointing at the entrance. Queen breeding up here in the mountians is officialy over!
Comment by Paul McCarty on October 5, 2012 at 1:37pm We are having an extended flow this year in many locations, at least where I live. We have had a fairly medium to light flow since late July. Last year it was not like this. It was feed, feed, feed from late June to September.
