Event Description
In this class, you will learn about top bar style hives with Jessie Brown. We will cover beekeeping throughout history, basic bee biology, the beekeepers calendar, equipment needed and sustainable hive management techniques. We will also peak into a few beehives.
Wear long sleeves, light colored clothing and bring a hat with a brim. You are invited to bring food for a potluck style lunch.
You need to pre-register by emailing info@erdagardens.com or calling 505-610-1538. Cost is $25-35 sliding scale donation.

The New Mexico Beekeepers Association is a non-profit organization of private beekeepers, commercial beekeepers, persons interested in promoting the importance of the honey bee in the environment, and businesses related to the honey industry. Representing all regions of New Mexico, the Association maintains a close affiliation with the State of New Mexico's Department of Agriculture. Membership in the Association is open to all interested persons.
