Bee keeping seminar March 23-24, 2013

Support your local pollinator and attend this honey of a seminar, it will include a classroom session on day one and hands on hive experience on day two.

Featured speakers will include Jessie Brown, Secretary of the New Mexico Beekeepers Association talking about urban beekeeping, honeybee health, spring hive maintenance and how to catch a swarm. Paul McCarty from High Rolls will also be speaking about his unique hive style and catching bees through trap outs and cut outs.

Day one location: Otero County Extension Office, 401 Fairgrounds Road, Alamogordo, NM 9:00-12:00 1:00-3:00

Day two location:  Potter’s Ranch, 3757 US Hwy 82, Mayhill, NM. Milepost 37.5 watch for sign. 9:00-12:00

Bee prepared! Bring water, a chair, a hat and a veil (please bring an extra veil if you have one).
